A video showing visually, and with spoken audio cues, how students can take screenshots on a Chromebook.

hi this video will show you how to take a screenshot on your Chromebook as well as how to rename that screenshot and send it to your teacher in order to take a screenshot the first thing you'll need to do is locate these two keys on your keyboard nurse being this bottom of control key and the second being the special key here on the top row just above the six after you've located those two keys and you know what you would like to screenshot make sure that what you would like to screenshot is fully displayed on your screen after you've done that the next step is to hold down that bottom left control key and then click that special key at the top after you've done that you'll see a prompt in the bottom right saying that the screenshot was taken you like to view that screenshot or renamed it click just below that where it says show in folder and as you can see here the screenshot is displayed in our downloads now to rename the screenshot to something more identifiable we are going to locate this bottom left ALT key which is directly next to the control key and after you've done that you can hover over the file hold down Alt click and then the sub menu will pop up the bunch of new options and one of them is rename so to rename it click on rename and here you can type in whatever you think is appropriate for a name something relating to the assignment or the screen for me I will just name it example and now this file is ready to be sent off to my teacher so what I'm going to do now is go back into Google Chrome open a new tab navigate to the top-right and click on this link to Gmail after Gmail is loaded we now want to start a new email so to do that we're going to go to the left side of the web page and click on this button that says compose after this prompts popped up the first thing to do is type in the email of the teacher you would like to send it to my example will be Mister Tippmann and subject will be something pertaining to the screenshot for me that is just an example and finally to add that screenshot to this email I'm going to click this little paperclip icon here at the bottom of the email and this will bring up the file system where you can locate the file that you had just created and to locate our files specifically where go to the left side and click my files and then click downloads and you can see here our file is waiting for us so are we going to do to upload that it's double click it and it will upload that to the email and then you are good to go you can click Send and that will send it off to your teacher for them to review and give you feedback this has been a video showing you how to take a screenshot on your Chromebook as well as how to rename it and see to your teacher
