Attention Bruin High School Athletes,
We look forward to seeing returning students and new students on campus this week for the official start of fall athletics and activities practices.
Here are details for the first day of athletics and activities practices for Monday, August 14, 2023:
- Volleyball try-outs are Monday-Tuesday, August 14-15, from 9 a.m. to noon in the BHHS gym.
- Cross-Country practice will start at 4 p.m. and end between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the BHHS track and field.
- Girls Soccer practice will start at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 14th, at the Gibney Indoor Center at BHHS (location updated!!)
- Boys Soccer practice will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, August 14, on the main BHHS soccer/baseball field.
- Football practice will start at 4 p.m. on Monday, August 14 on Elmer Bankus Field (BHHS Football/Track & Field Stadium and practice field)
Marching Band and Color Guard are hosting an intensive band camp all week, start time on Monday, Aug. 14, is 10 a.m. in the BHHS Music Room/Auditorium. More information.
Interested in Cheerleading? Cheer practice for the week will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, in the BHHS Cafeteria. Starting next week, practices will be on a regular schedule of Monday and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Please contact Coach Mariah Williams with questions: [email protected]

BEFORE YOU PLAY!!
To participate in fall athletics and activities, you will need:
- Documentation of a current physical by a medical care provider no more than 2 years old.
- Online activity registration completed at FamilyID (now called “Arbiter Sports”) https://www.familyid.com/organizations/brookings-harbor-school-district
- Pay the $85.00 Sports Fee - if you need assistance paying your fee, please see Tina Peters in the high school office.
Once this is done, students receive a “Gold Card” that can be presented to their coach so they know that the student is cleared to participate.
