About Us

Brookings-Harbor High School (BHHS) serves approximately 370 students in grades 9–12, with both in-person and online learning options. As the district’s only high school, BHHS provides a comprehensive academic program aligned to Oregon diploma requirements, including 24 credits across core content areas and electives. Students have access to a robust selection of honors, dual enrollment, and college-credit courses through partnerships with Southern Oregon University, Oregon Institute of Technology, and Southwestern Oregon Community College, enabling them to earn transferable credit at minimal cost.

The school offers a wide range of academic pathways, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, and World Languages (Spanish and French), alongside specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in Business, Health Occupations, Metals and Manufacturing, Construction, and Wildland Firefighting. The Performing and Visual Arts programs feature band, choir, orchestra, jazz band, Sea Breeze ensemble, and studio art courses. Academic enrichment includes AP- and college-level coursework, creative electives such as Creative Writing, Psychology of Happiness, and History of Sports & Film, and extensive STEM opportunities.

To support student success, BHHS provides academic counseling, college and career planning, and targeted support programs including bilingual/ESL, special education, Bruin PRIDE study labs, and online summer and credit-recovery courses. Technology is fully integrated, with every student issued a Chromebook.

Beyond academics, students benefit from a strong culture of engagement through clubs, leadership programs, and athletics. Offerings include National Honor Society, Interact (Rotary) service club, SAGA, Book Club, Outdoor Club, Black Student Union, and more, alongside 14 OSAA sports across fall, winter, and spring. The Bruin PRIDE framework—Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dignity, and Excellence—guides behavior and reinforces a positive, inclusive learning environment.
