Pathways 2 the Future is a Career Development Curriculum for Young Women and is offered to students through our Youth Transition Program and grants. The class provides a challenging and supportive environment for students to lead while accessing resources, tools, and people to assist with the journey from youth to adulthood. This fundraising event is organized by the 11 young women currently enrolled in the BHHS Pathways 2 the Future Class led by teacher Michelle Prudden. Funds from the benefit film showing will be used to assist with travel costs to the Oregon Statewide Transition Conference in Portland this spring, where the students will co-present for the Paths 2 the Future Project. The class has a goal to raise $660.
“The Princess Bride” is a hilarious cult classic film adapted by William Goldman from his 1973 novel of the same name. It tells the story of a farmhand named Westley, accompanied by companions befriended along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup from the odious Prince Humperdinck. Most importantly, the film also highlights Princess Buttercup’s resourcefulness.
