Senior year is filled with important milestones—from planning for life after high school and applying for scholarships to celebrating accomplishments and preparing for graduation. Brookings-Harbor High School seniors and their families can use this guide to keep track of deadlines, events and graduation requirements throughout the 2026–27 school year.
The Class of 2027 graduation ceremony is scheduled for June 5, 2027, at 2 p.m. The location will be announced.
Start With Your Graduation Plan
Each senior should schedule a senior meeting with their school counselor to review credits, confirm progress toward graduation and discuss next steps. Whether students plan to attend college, pursue a trade, enter the military or join the workforce, this meeting is an opportunity to identify application requirements and deadlines.
Students should also determine whether their plans require SAT, ACT or ASVAB testing. Counselors can assist with questions about testing and SAT/ACT registration.
Diploma Verification and Walking Agreement forms are due to Ashley Pruitt by October 16, 2026.
For counseling assistance, call 541-469-2108, option 3, or contact the counselor assigned to the student’s last name:
-
Last names A–K: Kara Morris, [email protected]
-
Last names L–Z: April Hendrix, [email protected]
Transcripts, Applications and Financial Aid
Students can request BHHS and Southern Oregon University transcripts through Parchment. Select “Order Now” and use a personal email address rather than a school email address. Southwestern Oregon Community College transcripts should be requested through LakerLink.
Seniors should plan to request and send transcripts as needed for college, employment and military applications. After the first semester ends on January 22, class rank will be updated, and students should request updated transcripts for college applications. Final college transcripts should be requested at the end of the school year.
The senior timeline lists October 1, 2026, as the FAFSA opening date and June 1, 2027, as the FAFSA deadline. Students should work with their counselor to confirm the financial aid deadlines that apply to their plans.
Two dedicated application weeks will provide opportunities to focus on next steps:
-
November 16–20: Next Steps Application Week, Bruin Center. Students can work on job, college and military applications; order and send transcripts; and complete scholarship and FAFSA applications.
-
February 1–5: Scholarship Application Week, Bruin Center. Seniors can focus on scholarship applications and funding opportunities.
Students are encouraged to share scholarship awards they receive so BHHS can recognize their accomplishments at Scholarship Awards Night.
Caps, Gowns and Graduation Requirements
Order graduation caps and gowns through Jostens by searching for Brookings-Harbor High School.
As graduation approaches, seniors must complete checkout and attend graduation practice:
-
Senior checkout: June 3, 2027. Students must pay fines, return books and obtain teacher sign-offs. Students who have not completed checkout cannot participate in graduation practice.
-
Mandatory graduation practice: June 4, 2027, at 8:45 a.m. Seniors will meet in the BHHS parking lot. Students must attend graduation practice to participate in the graduation ceremony.
-
Graduation: June 5, 2027, at 2 p.m. Location to be announced.
Senior Portraits, Quotes and Yearbook Orders
Senior portraits and quotes are due March 1, 2027. Submit materials to yearbook adviser Ms. Vandehey at [email protected].
For the best results, senior photos should be 3 inches high by 4 inches wide, in a horizontal orientation. Vertical photos will require a background to fit the yearbook’s horizontal layout. If a senior does not submit a portrait, their school picture will be used.
Students may submit a quote with their photo. Quotes must be school appropriate. Quotes containing innuendo, references to drugs or alcohol, or violence will be rejected.
The 2026–27 BHHS yearbook is available for preorder at the following prices:
-
Softcover: $57.10
-
Hardcover: $65
Families may order online through TreeRing or bring cash, a card or a check to Tina in the BHHS front office. TreeRing offers early ordering discounts of up to 10%; families should watch for emails announcing those opportunities. Students can also create two custom pages in their yearbook.
Contact Ms. Vandehey with questions about yearbook orders, senior portraits or quotes.
Senior Parent Recognition Ads
Families can celebrate their graduating senior with a recognition ad in the yearbook. The deadline for senior parent ads is March 1, 2027.

|---|---|---|---|
| Quarter page | $40 | 4.25 × 5.5 inches | One or two photos and a short message |
