Soft Start Monday, 8/31 — Welcome, Freshmen & New Bruins!
Greetings Bruin Families,
We're excited to welcome our incoming 9th graders and new students to Brookings-Harbor High School for Soft Start Day on Monday, August 31st. This day gives new Bruins a chance to settle in, meet their teachers, and get comfortable with campus before the rest of the student body returns on Tuesday. Our Link Crew student leaders will be leading fun, connecting activities throughout the day.
Monday, August 31 — Schedule for Freshmen & New Students
Please have your student arrive by 8:00 a.m.
- 8:00–9:30 a.m. — Welcome Assembly (Gym)
- 9:30–11:30 a.m. — Link Crew Activities
- 11:30–11:45 a.m. — Closing Assembly (Gym)
- 11:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m. — Welcome Back BBQ Lunch (lunch provided!)
- 12:15–1:15 p.m. — Meet your teachers! Students will visit all seven periods for short introductions.
Students will be dismissed around 1:15 p.m.

Chromebooks: Please refer to our earlier announcement on this year's Chromebook process. Contact the front office if you have questions.
Important dates:
- Tuesday, September 1 — All returning students (10th–12th grade) first full school day. First bell at 8:15 a.m., dismissal at 3:20 p.m.
- Monday, September 9, 5:30–7:00 p.m. — Back to School Night Open House/Dual Credit Information Meeting
