Celebrating Bruin Excellence: 2025 Scholarship Awards Night
On Thursday, May 22, Brookings-Harbor High School celebrated its annual Scholarship Night. At the event, the Brookings-Harbor Scholarship Foundation (BHSF) proudly announced scholarship awards totaling $240,000 to support both graduating seniors of the Class of 2025 and BHHS alumni continuing their education.
A total of $68,000 was awarded to 15 graduating seniors thanks to the generosity of local donors and long-standing scholarship funds. In addition, $172,000 in continuing education awards will support 39 BHHS alumni as they pursue degrees, certifications, and career training.
These scholarships are made possible by the incredible generosity of individuals and organizations including: Ruth Johnson, Doug Peterson, the John Atkins Scholarship, Mabel George, Opal F. Scott Scholarship, Tisdale and Longstreet Scholarships, Coleman Scholarship, Norma Fitzgerald, Azalea Quilters Guild, Susan K. Itzen Scholarship, Pioneer Scholarship, Leroy Weideman, George Darling, Rogue Credit Union, Dr. Edmund Samuel, the BH Student Body Scholarship, Bruce Harden, the Nidiffer Family Scholarship, Kurle Waite, and Tom Abbott Scholarship.
