Thursday, May 23rd, the Brookings Harbor Scholarship Foundation announced scholarship awards totaling $232,000 for 56 current and past Brookings-Harbor High School students. The awards included $66,000 in new scholarships for 15 graduating seniors of the Class of 2024 and an additional $166,000 for 41 BHHS alumni continuing their higher education and training.
These scholarships were made possible through generous donations to BHSF from Ruth Johnson, Doug Peterson, John Atkins Scholarship, Mabel George, Opal F. Scott Scholarship, Tisdale Scholarship, Longstreet Scholarship, Tisdale Scholarship, Coleman Scholarship, Norma Fitzgerals, Azalea Quilters Guild, Susan K Itzen Scholarship, Pioneer Scholarship, Leroy Weideman, George Darling, Rogue Credit Union, Dr. Edmund Samuel, BH Student Body Scholarship, Bruce Harden, Nidiffer Family Scholarship, Kurle Waite, Tom Abbot, and Pelican Bay Community Foundation.
