Principal’s Update (Nov. 5, 2022)

Hello Bruins, 

With Thanksgiving break around the corner, we have a lot going on at Brookings-Harbor High School. 

 

Progress Reports

The first quarter progress reports can be picked up at conferences. If you are unable to attend, we will mail them home on Monday, November 14th. 

 

Conferences 

We hope that you will visit us in our gymnasium on Wednesday, November 9th from 4:45-7:45pm to visit any of your student’s teachers. Appointments are not necessary on this day. 

 

If you’d like a private conference or to meet virtually, select your student’s teacher(s) below to sign up for a 15 minute slot on Thursday, November 10th from 4-8pm. If you need help, please call the front office 541-469-2108.

School Based Health Center (SBHC)

We are excited to announce that BHSD is hosting a School Based Health Center to better serve and support our Bruin students and families. The SBHC can provide the same kinds of health services as your regular primary care provider during the school day. The SBHC will be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 am – 4 pm for medical care and Thursdays 8 am – 1 pm for behavioral health. Call (541) 332-1114 and request the School Based Health Center to make an appointment. 

 

Safe & Sober Event

Their annual spaghetti dinner and dessert auction is being held on Saturday, November 5th from 5:30-7:30pm in the high school cafeteria. They will also conduct a silent auction and provide live music. Dinner is $15 per person, those 10 years and under at $5 and families of 4 are discounted at $50. 


Winter Sports

Be sure to sign up on Family ID for winter sports such as wrestling, basketball, and cheerleading. Students should see Ms. Peters for a gold card to begin practicing on Monday, November 14.
