Award for Excellence in Allied Health

In order to earn this certification, students are enrolled at SWOCC in Medical Terminology 1 & 2, Body Structures 1 & 2 (Anatomy), Health Occupations and Medical Law and Ethics and must pass them with a C or better for a total of 17 college credits. This is an important milestone to prepare those on their way into careers in the healthcare industry and can give them points to help them get into the nursing program.

Awards for Excellence in Citizenship (Bruin P.R.I.D.E Awards and the Most Improved Student of the Year)

Every year we ask teachers to nominate their most outstanding students in citizenship.  To be consistently kind, courteous, patient, considerate, and just all around well-mannered is highly commendable.  These are students who exemplify Bruin PRIDE we talk about all the time:  P for Pride, R for Respect, I for Integrity, D for Diversity and E for excellence. These students go above and beyond relative to positive behavior.
