This fall our football program is experiencing some changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Regardless of these challenges, however, our goal remains the same, to provide the best opportunity possible for our players and their families.
Due to an athlete turnout that was fewer in number than anticipated, our football program has decided to take official steps to participate in other options. This change also means that we will not be able to field a full-roster team this fall.
We are currently pursuing other options, such as an 8 v. 8 player schedule with teams across the region. As a result, there will not be an official football season for the Brookings-Harbor program in the 3A-5 Far West League.
Football Coach Shaun Bavaro, Superintendent David Marshall, and I made this difficult decision to ensure the safety of our students on the field first. Our additional goals are to maximize our focus on training, provide opportunities for our returning student-athletes, and build for the future.
We will share more details on the fall schedule as soon as possible.
Thank you and Go Bruins!
