When Curry County is in the “red” or “extreme” zone for COVID cases, our middle and high school track teams will take extra measures to keep separate practice areas.
As a precaution, Azalea Middle School track and field practice will now take place from 4 to 5 p.m. and Brookings-Harbor High School track and field practice will follow from 5 to 6 p.m.
Middle school athletes should enter the track from the Elmer Bankus Field/Stadium parking area (on Fern Avenue) and high school athletes should enter from the high school parking lot (off Easy Street).
Middle school track and field practice season began March 29 and continues to April 30. High school track and field season is planned for April 5 to May 16 (with a possible OSAA week May 17-23).
All student-athletes are required to have an active physical on file and be registered with FamilyID prior to attending practice. All fees have been waived for athletics and activities participation for the 2020-21 school year.
For more information, please see the BHHS or AMS athletics information webpage or contact your school office or coach.
