Principal’s Message: Distance Learning for All Starts April 13

[April 11, 2020] Hello, Bruin Family,

I hope this message finds you all well!

By now, you are aware that the school will be closed to students for the remainder of the year.

While this is disappointing to us all, we are committed to continuing to serve our students through emotional support, distance learning, and food distribution.

This Monday, we officially begin our distance teaching and learning through Google Classroom. Please know that we have made adjustments based on a recommended three-hour school day. Posted on our website are suggested student schedules that can begin at any time of the day. Our goal is to help families establish a flexible routine that is also familiar to our students.

If your student has any questions about a lesson, please encourage them to email their teachers. We are here to support you!

Finally, if you still need to check out a laptop for your student, please don’t hesitate to email me to set up an appointment ([email protected]). And if your student had items in a locker or placed an order for senior announcements, we are available in the front office on Tuesday from 10 am-12 pm, and Thursday from 10 am-12 pm and 5-7 pm for a pickup.

Please know that we are here for you, and although our interaction has changed, we are still the BHHS community.

Stay safe, Bruins,

DeAnne Varitek, Principal

Brookings-Harbor High School
