Greetings Brookings-Harbor School District Families,
I hope this message finds you all doing well. I want to let you know that we are thinking of you all as we navigate these challenging days.
I know many of you have questions about our district plan for providing supplemental student learning. Next week our administrators and staff will use our latest guidance from the Oregon Department of Education to determine what supplemental educational experiences will look like during our extended school closure. These experiences must be accessible for all our students and will most likely be a blended model of packets, online learning, and virtual experiences. We plan to begin rolling out these educational platforms the week of April 6, particularly for our seniors.
We will also resume providing food next week to any member of our community between the ages of 1-18. Food can be picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in our high school cafeteria.
We think of our students, staff, and families constantly. As our plans to serve you all unfold we will keep you informed, take care.
Chris Eberhardt, Superintendent
