Plan ahead for the Brookings-Harbor School District’s back-to-school registration event coming up on Thursday Aug. 15. This one-day event is for all grades and all schools at Kalmiopsis Elementary School.
Staff and volunteers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the school located at 650 Easy Street that day to answer questions about the school nurse and health options, bus routes, English Language Development program, Indian Education program, food service, Special Programs, Parent-Teacher Organization, Booster Club, school supply lists and more.
At the event, families can pay athletics and activities fees, purchase PE uniforms and learn about other school-related activities. There will also be help available for anyone who has not yet completed the annual online registration forms.
For online registration, returning student families receive a letter and email from the Brookings-Harbor School District with instructions on how to access the online registration system. This message typically arrives in early August. The message contains a link with instructions and a secure “snapcode” that links directly to your student’s information, giving you the option of completing forms in advance. If you have questions please call, email or visit our school offices after they reopen on Aug. 5.
We look forward to welcoming your students back to school at the August 15 registration event, invite all in the community to attend our annual Back-to-School Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27 in the Brookings-Harbor High School cafeteria. At that event we will share the results of the annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive hosted by KURY Radio and look ahead to a new academic year with a continued focus on ensuring that “Every Student Can Succeed” here in Brookings-Harbor schools.
The first day of school for the 2019-2020 school year will be Tuesday, Sept. 3. Please check back on our website at www.brookings.k12.or.us for addition details of start times and dates for specific grades.
