The Juniors will take the ASVAB. The Seniors will go through rotations learning about different topics such as financial literacy, higher education, and health care. Due to the Wednesday, October 16 schedule being different, the schedule for Monday, October 14 will be a Gold Day to ensure that classes have consistent times throughout the week.

11th graders will also have the opportunity to take the Student Health Survey on October 16th. If you wish to opt your student out, please visit the 2024 SHS Survey webpage.

The following Wednesday, October 23, we will have picture retakes from 12:00-2:00. The next day, October 24, we will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9:00-1:00.

The last week of October is College Application Week. The theme this year is “A Road Map to Your Future.” From October 28-31, there will be support for students that need help completing applications so that they can apply for work or attend a 4 year university, community college, or trade school. There will be representatives from high education institutions that will be available to speak with students and provide them support as well. Students will have the opportunity to play games and win prizes as they complete their various applications.

Thursday, October 31, will be the last day of the 1st Quarter. Friday, November 1, and Monday, November 4, students will not have school as there will be in-service days.

Sincerely,
